AESL 504 INTERMEDIATE HIGH AESL MULTI-SKILLS0 Units - 10 hours lecture Recommended Preparation: AESL 503 or by ESL assessment In this intermediate high AESL non-credit course, English learners will practice listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills focused on life skills, career development, and U.S. civics and community. Students will build on their communication skills and will learn how to monitor their own language learning process. Focus will be on English for job preparation and more complex interactions with the community. Example activities will be writing professional emails and cover letters, interviewing for a job, volunteering in the community, and responding to legal/community correspondence.
