Literature 45 examines the works of selected women poets, novelists, short story writers, essayists, and dramatists from various historical periods and cultures. Emphasis is on the participation of women in traditional and nontraditional literary activity, the major themes and issues in women’s writing, and the distinctive forms and language that may apply in works by women.
