TA 25 GREAT PLAYS: PRIMITIVE TO RENAISSANCE3 Units - 3 hours lecture Transfers: CSU, UC This reading and discussion course studies significant plays from the major eras of world drama, from primitive ritual through the 17th century. The course traces the development of the play in themes, characterization, and dramatic structure, considering philosophical and cultural backgrounds and production styles that have influenced the staging of plays.
