An employee with skills in optoelectronics is capable of working in the fields of semiconductor electronics, where computer circuity and chips are made. In addition, camera and sensor technology relies heavily on optoelectronic devices to detect light optical source technology markets use optoelectronic components in the making of laser diode and light-emitting diode (LED) sources.
