The Career Paths for Multilingual Professionals Certificate of Competency is a set of three noncredit courses which gives English language learners the advanced English skills, intercultural communicative competence, and foundational knowledge/skills needed to start on a particular career path. Emphasis is on content-specific vocabulary, genre specific grammar/writing conventions, and situationally appropriate functional language. Courses in the program also focus on job search/success skills and the foundational knowledge needed for specific career pathways. All courses in the program are noncredit, open-entry/open-exit.
Program Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to:
- Utilize advanced English and intercultural communicative competence to communicate effectively while starting on a career path in the United States.
