The English for Multilingual Professionals Certificate of Competency is a set of 3 noncredit AESL courses for non-native English language learners interested in improving their English for current jobs, career changes, or entering the workforce. Emphasis is on the English language needed to successfully interface with customers/clients, co-workers, supervisors, and/or future employers. Courses in the program also focus on soft skills and cultural background knowledge about American workplace/business norms. Students completing this certificate will be able to utilize high-intermediate English and intercultural communicative competence to communicate effectively at work or while seeking employment. All courses in the program are noncredit, open-entry/open-exit.
