Administration of Justice for Transfer, AS-T

The curriculum is designed to acquaint pre-service and in-service students with the principles and practices of criminal justice in America. Involvement in courses offered each semester will provide a sound foundation for students intending to transfer and continue further study in criminal justice programs.
Pursuant to SB1440, section 66756, to earn an Associate in Science in Administration of Justice for Transfer degree (AS-T in Administration of Justice) students must:
- Complete 60 semester or 90 quarter CSU transferable units.
- Obtain a minimum grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.0 in all CSU transferable coursework.
- Complete and obtain certification of the California State University General Education-Breadth pattern or the Intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum (IGETC for CSU) pattern.
- Complete 18 major units listed below. All courses in the major must be completed with a grade of C or Better (Title 5 § 55063).
Program Student Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to:
- Identify career opportunities within the three components of the criminal justice system.
- Identify the skills and abilities required to be an effective member the criminal justice profession.
- Describe the importance of ethical decision-making within the criminal justice system.
