Earning this certificate gives students the ability to enter the workforce as a beekeeper and apiary manager. California farmers, like almonds and citrus, rely on beekeepers to pollinate their crops. Southern California particularly, needs more educated beekeepers to assist with the regions’ needs for pollination and bee health. Students can also continue their education with bee research and statewide certification.
