MATH 310 PRE-STATISTICS

5 Units - 5 hours lecture
Prerequisite: Placement by current assessment process or successful completion of MATH 351 with a ‘C’ or better
Recommended Preparation: Concurrent enrollment in TU 301  strongly recommended.
This course is designed for non-STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) students who seek a better understanding of and preparation for mathematics prior to enrolling in statistics. Topics include arithmetic computations; set notation and Venn diagrams; percents, ratios and proportions; basic graphs and data analysis; linear equations and inequalities; functions; systems of linear equations; exponents and polynomials; roots and radicals basics; and basic exponential and logarithmic functions.
