COUN 6 ACADEMIC, CAREER AND LIFE SUCCESS3 Units - 3 hours lecture Transfers: CSU, UC A comprehensive course that integrates personal, professional, career and academic growth through the development and application of effective communication skills, positive self-image and self-esteem, self-advocacy and strategies for problem solving and decision making. Students examine individual morals, values, and motivation from psychological, social and physiological perspectives. Course covers goal setting, financial literacy, basic communication skills, diversity and balancing the challenges faced in today’s society. Emphasis is on holistic student development. Credit may be earned for either COUN 6 or 6H, but not both.
