LIB 10 INTRODUCTION TO INFORMATION LITERACY AND LIBRARY RESEARCH2 Units - 2 hours lecture Transfers: CSU, UC This course provides a thorough introduction to the resources available to a college student both in the academic library and online. Major topics include reference tools, print and electronic periodicals, online catalogs and databases, digital libraries and bibliographic formats. Students practice techniques for developing research questions, creating search strategies, locating library materials, organizing information, evaluating the credibility of resources, and culminating in a final project. This course is recommended for all students. NR
