COMM 167 is an opportunity to earn college unit(s) on-the-job by learning or improving knowledge or skills related to a job whether paid or unpaid. General Cooperative Work Experience seeks to develop desirable work habits, attitudes, and career awareness. General CWE need not be related to student’s career goals or any specific vocational program or major. Students may earn up to 4 CWE units per term, maximum of 16 CWE combined units at IVC and including other K-12 educational institutions. Units are awarded upon achievement of approved learning objectives and hours worked. One unit will be awarded for each 75 hours of paid or 60 hours of unpaid hours worked during the semester. NR
