MATH 2 PRE-CALCULUS5 Units - 5 hours lecture Transfers: CSU, UC Prerequisite: Placement by current assessment process or successful completion of MATH 124 with a ‘C’ or better Recommended Preparation: Concurrent enrollment in TU 301 strongly recommended This course is designed for students who seek a better understanding of and preparation for mathematics prior to enrolling in a calculus course. Topics include the complex number system; elementary functions, including polynomial, rational, algebraic, exponential, logarithmic and trigonometric functions; polar coordinates and parametric equations; relations and their graphs; and methods for solving linear and non-linear systems of equations.
