ECON 1H PRINCIPLES OF ECONOMICS - MICRO HONORS3 Units - 3 hours lecture Transfers: CSU, UC Prerequisite: MATH 353 Recommended Preparation: ECON 20 ECON 1H is an intensive introductory course that employs higher order thinking skills which include analysis, interpretation, and evaluation of texts and outside readings. It also uses applied mathematical and graphical analysis techniques to evaluate economic decisions and policies. The primary areas of focus include scarcity, resource allocation, decision-making of individuals and firms, markets prices, industrial organization, marginal analysis and maximization, resource markets, and evaluation of government economic policies. The course is enriched by smaller class size, additional analytical techniques, and an expanded range of topics. Credit may be earned in either ECON 1 or ECON 1H, but not both. C-ID: ECON 201. NR
