BIO 30 CALIFORNIA WILDLIFE AND WILDLANDS3 Units - 3 hours lecture Transfers: CSU, UC This course introduces students to the natural history of California in the context of the many ecosystems that occur in the state. The course presents both ecological and evolutionary perspectives as it examines California’s flora and fauna and the role of climate, geology, species interactions, and adaptation in creating California’s world famous biodiversity. The course includes both prehistoric and historical changes to California wildlands and the role humans have played in shaping the current landscape. Field trips may be required to fulfill course objectives. NR
