MATH 357 SKILLS FOR INTERMEDIATE ALGEBRA

2 Units - 2 hours lecture
Corequisite: MATH 253  
Recommended Preparation: Concurrent enrollment in TU 301  is strongly recommended.
Math 357 is a review of the core prerequisite skills, competencies, and concepts needed in intermediate algebra. Intended for students who are concurrently enrolled in MATH 253. Topics include: signed number arithmetic; evaluating, combining and simplifying algebraic expressions; solving linear equations and inequalities; graphing linear equations in two variables; applying the rules of exponents; addition, subtraction and multiplication of polynomials. This course is appropriate for students who are confident in their arithmetic and pre-algebra skills. Pass/No Pass only. Students who pass their concurrent MATH 253 will pass this course.
