BIO 55 INTRODUCTION TO ECOLOGY: THEORY AND APPLICATION3 Units - 3 hours lecture Transfers: CSU, UC This course examines the interactions between organisms and their abiotic and biotic environments from an ecological, physiological, and evolutionary perspective. Topics include evolutionary ecology, behavioral ecology, the physical environment and adaptive responses to environmental challenges, population biology, community interactions and dynamics, species diversity, ecosystem ecology, and human impacts to ecological systems. Field trips may be required. NR
