CHEM 1B GENERAL CHEMISTRY II5 Units - 3 hours lecture, 6 hours lab Transfers: CSU, UC Prerequisite: CHEM 1A This is the second semester of a one-year course in chemistry intended for majors in the natural sciences (chemistry, biochemistry, physics, pre-medicine), allied health, mathematics, and engineering. Topics include chemical kinetics, chemical equilibrium, thermodynamics, electrochemistry, coordination chemistry, and nuclear chemistry. CHEM 1B is part of the one year General Chemistry course sequence. It is recommended that CHEM 1A and CHEM 1B be completed at a single institution before transfer. NR
