ETHN 10 INTRODUCTION TO ETHNIC STUDIES3 Units - 3 hours lecture Transfers: CSU, UC Recommended Preparation: WR 201 , WR 399 or ESL 201 Ethnic Studies introduces students to a historical and contemporary survey of ethnic groups and ethnic group relations in the United States among Anglos, Native Americans, Native Pacific Islanders, Asian Americans, Black and African Americans, and Latinx/Chicanx. Students will be introduced to the major concepts and issues in the study of race and ethnicity in the United States and a general overview of topics to be covered in more specialized Ethnic Studies classes.
