JA 21 INTRODUCTION TO JAPANESE CULTURE3 Units - 3 hours lecture Transfers: CSU, UC Recommended Preparation: College-level English reading, writing and Internet-technology based communication skills. This introductory lecture and discussion course covers various aspects of Japanese culture. Areas of study include the geography of Japan and the history, literature, art, philosophy, religion, business practices, and customs of the people. Students will study a variety of materials to discuss the Japanese culture and its relationship to other cultures of the world. The class is conducted in English, and no knowledge of Japanese is required. NR
