What is Language and how is it related to Psychology? The production and comprehension of language is one of the most complex aspects of human cognition. This course will give an overview of the aspects of language and how it is acquired by and functions in the developing brain. Topics include the sound system, word structure, sentence structure, and meaning in human language, as well as how these aspects of communication are acquired naturally and fairly effortlessly by children.
