ANTH 2H CULTURAL ANTHROPOLOGY HONORS

3 Units - 3 hours lecture
Transfers: CSU, UC
This course presents a cross-cultural, comparative study of human behavior. The course investigates the relationship between language and culture; subsistence strategies; social organization; marriage and family patterns; systems of kinship and descent; economic, political, and religious systems; psychological anthropology; components of cultural change and the impact of globalization. This honors course will be enriched through limited class size, seminar format, more extensive reading and analysis of primary research, participation in first hand fieldwork culminating in a final project and oral presentation. Credit may be earned for either ANTH 2  or 2H, but not both. NR
